Simple tips – exercises to try anywhere and no one will know,. And it’s not how we were taught for years either.
Like all muscles they need to be worked, it really is a case of use it or lose it, so everything we can do now to help us with strength and movement will help us later on too, as we get older, we must start caring about ourselves now.
Knowing your ‘Lady parts’ includes the pelvic floor muscles! ‘Kegel exercises’ are specific to these muscles!!
Do you know where the ‘lady part’ or pelvic floor muscles (PFMs) are?
These muscles are a funnel-shaped muscle at the bottom of the pelvis. They prevent bladder leakage and leaking other ‘good stuff’ – feces and gas! When you do Kegels or perform kegel exercises, these are the muscles you are recruiting, so you want to know where they are!
The other important function of these muscles is they support your pelvic organs and prevent these pelvic organs from prolapsing (POP) or anything ‘bulging out of your vagina’ or rectum! Of course, they also contribute to your sexual and overall pelvic health and wellness!
This first video on Kegel and pelvic floor exercises details important information to prevent and improve pelvic floor dysfunction.
Please join us for the second video of the PFMs (KEGELS – HOW?) to learn how to do proper kegels and perform kegel exercises optimally and effectively!

It is important to activate your pelvic floor in a variety of positions. It is also important to train it with different variations of the breath. Here is a pelvic floor workout done on your hands and knees that helps strengthen the muscles and also release tension so your pelvic floor is able to do all of the important jobs that it has.
Thank you so much for watching! I use fitness and movement to help women and vagina owners prevent and overcome pelvic floor challenges like incontinence and organ prolapse. Help for people in pregnancy, motherhood and menopause!

Join us as we end Women’s International Month with a special conversation about the pelvic floor given to us by Dr. Kindra Seville. Kindra Seville earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Stony Brook University. Prior to attending graduate school, Kindra attended Buffalo State College, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Kindra has gained clinical experience working with patients of all ages for treatment of orthopedic, vestibular, and neurological impairments. However, her passion is treating pelvic health conditions such as pelvic pain, pain with sexual function, bladder dysfunction and the postpartum demographic. She has advanced her training in pelvic floor physical therapy by completing Pelvic Floor Level 1 continuing education through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. Kindra’s goal is to become certified as a Pelvic Rehabilitation practitioner to further advocate for women’s health and accessible pelvic floor care. She is very passionate about getting her patients back to their prior level of function so they can get back to doing the activities they love. Kindra is a strong believer in patient education and empowers her patients to become active participants in their care. Outside of the clinic, Kindra can be found exploring new restaurants, reading, and making new memories with family and friends.
If you have questions please email Dr. Seville at kindrasv@gmail.com.
