If you do yoga for the pelvic floor, use the methods we teach to bend down in real life. Doing the dishes, petting your cat, picking up a sock from the floor… all of these motions can create pressure on the pelvic floor, making prolapse and other pelvic floor conditions worse.
If your doctor approves, start using pelvic floor yoga in your daily life. When you reach down, remember to keep your back and pelvis in a neutral position – which often means bending your knees! Watch this quick video to see what I mean.
