As I always say, I use the term “mom pouch” loosely! I’m not referring to women who are very new to their postpartum journey and are not yet cleared to workout, or those who have fibroids.
When I use the term “mom pouch” I’m referring to what women often think is belly fat but is actually ab separation (diastasis recti) which can cause women to have a postpartum tummy. I post these exercises not just for aesthetics, but because a weakened core can cause pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic pain, back pain, and a weakened core that can lead to other injuries.
