Mind Over Bladder is another video on the Benefit Yourself Series. This video will provide information on the relationship of pelvic floor muscles and the bladder, types of urinary incontinence and how to fix them.

The Pelvic floor muscles are always working and supporting the organs inside of you. They are located on the bottom of the pelvic girdle and control bowel and bladder and sexual appreciation. These muscles are always working and supporting the organs and keeping bowel and bladder continence and the bladder is always relaxed and accommodating urine. The only time the bladder should squeeze is when you are sitting on the toilet and voluntarily relaxing the pelvic floor muscles. But sometimes your bladder may become irritated and overactive and misbehave and give you urgency when is not completely full.
The 3 times of bladder issues the video will cover is:
Urge incontinence
Stress incontinence
Nocturia – nighttime urgency and voids
